EC chief on police permit issue: It’s a lie!

Election Commission chairman Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun clarified on Friday that the police permit ruling had been introduced on the first day of the Tanjung Piai by-election and received no objections from the candidates.

He also condemned those who were spreading lies on the matter. Azhar visited the commission’s vote tallying centre in Pontian, Johor ahead of Saturday’s polling day.
