Driver dies as acid-laden truck overturns on KL-Karak Highway

A man died after the acid-laden truck that he was driving overturned at KM43 of the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Highway on Saturday (Oct 3).

Pahang Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Kamarulzaman Jusoh said in the 9.19pm incident, the victim P. Siniwasan, 56, died at the scene.

The Fire and Rescue Department's Hazardous Material (Hazmat) Unit team was deployed to neutralise the acid and the right lane where the accident occurred was opened to road users at 6.46am on Sunday.
