Dr Wee: Road Transport Act being reviewed to ensure harsher penalties against drunk drivers

The Transport Ministry is in the process in reviewing the Road Transport Act 1987 to ensure harsher penalties against drunk drivers, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

The Transport Minister said that when he appeared as a guest on the Hello-Hello Segment hosted on Facebook Live by Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi on Thursday (May 7), adding that the present law does not provide sufficient punishment for drunk drivers.
