Dr M: Gov’t would scrap ECRL, if given the choice

Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the government would choose to scrap the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL), if they were given a choice, after launching the National Transport Policy 2019-2030 on Thursday.

He said the government would have preferred to drop the project, but the contractors had gone ahead with the preliminary work.
