Dr M: Don’t get corrupted by the power that you wield

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said he was often accused of being corrupt when he was holding the position of Prime Minister for the first time but no proof was brought forward.

Speaking at a special dialogue session during Bank Rakyat's Inaugural Integrity Forum 2020 in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday, the premier said he did not buy diamonds worth RM27mil for his wife and that both of them lived a very ordinary life.

He added that it was important not to get corrupted by the power that one wields.
