Top US infectious disease official Dr Anthony Fauci on Tuesday said it is possible for Covid-19 to be reduced to an endemic illness next year from the current major health crisis if the country ramps up vaccination rates.

At a Reuters Total Health conference, Dr Fauci said booster doses of the Covid-19 vaccines are vital for reaching that point.
