Double Covid-19 stimulus package from RM45bil to RM90bil, says Anwar

The government should double the stimulus package to fight against the Covid-19 pandemic and help the nation's economic recovery, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

The Opposition leader told the Dewan Rakyat on Monday that the government should increase the current RM45bil under the Temporary Measures For Government Financing (Coronavirus Disease 2019) Bill 2020 to RM90bil.

He said Malaysia has one of the lowest stimulus packages to fight Covid-19 compared to other Asean countries.
