Don't hide bullying to protect school reputation, says Anwar

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has urged schools not to conceal bullying cases to protect their reputation, stressing that the priority must always be the safety and well-being of students.

Speaking at the Temu Anwar programme at the Institute of Teacher Education (IPG) Technical Education Campus in Nilai on Friday (July 17), Anwar said school leaders should not be blamed for reporting bullying incidents.

Instead, he said the real failure is when cases are ignored or covered up without any action being taken.
