Disciplinary action taken against errant cops, says Johor police chief

A total of 18 policemen and one administrative officer from the Johor police contingent were dismissed in 2021 for various offences, says Comm Datuk Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay.

The Johor police chief said that at the Johor police contingent monthly general assemble for December on Sunday (Dec 12), adding that 11 more policemen came under investigation for disciplinary cases and pending resignation between January and November of this year.

Comm Ayob also said the Johor Criminal Investigation Department had also recorded a 40% drop in criminal activities in the state from January to November this year compared to the same period last year.
