Disciplinary action against enforcement officers must follow due process, says AKPS chief

AKPS director-general Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain says integrity problems in enforcement agencies persist, but disciplinary action against officers must follow constitutional due process.
During a special session with the media recently, Comm Mohd Shuhaily said while arrests and investigations have been carried out, dismissals require approval from the Public Service Department under Articles 132–135 of the Constitution.
He added that to strengthen oversight, AKPS has set up a task force to verify public complaints and act swiftly when misconduct is confirmed.
