Death of M’sian student in Taiwan: Suspect confesses sexually assaulting victim before killing her

The suspect in the murder of a female Malaysian student from a Tainan university in Taiwan has confessed that he had sexually assaulted the victim before strangling her to death, according to an exclusive report from Taiwan’s Apple Daily.

The 28-year-old suspect was arrested Thursday night and has been detained for two counts of murder for strangling the 24-year-old with a rope and dumping the body in the mountainous Alian District in Kaohsiung, as well as for robbing the victim’s mobile phone and other belongings.
