Dead body mix-up: RM20,000 compensation for family's funeral expenses, says Home Minister

The family who was wrongly notified of their son’s death in Negri Sembilan and had spent RM20,000 for the funeral will be compensated, says Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.

The Home Minister told Dewan Rakyat on Wednesday when responding to M. Kulasegaran (PH-Ipoh Barat), who asked whether the Home Ministry would compensate the family as they had spent RM20,000 in funeral expenses that he will pay the compensation himself in less than 48 hours.
