DBKL to deploy 626 officers to curb 'Ali Baba' practices at Ramadan bazaar

Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) will deploy 626 enforcement officers to monitor Ramadan bazaar operations and crack down on "Ali Baba" practices, where traders rent stalls to third parties or foreigners.
Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Datuk Lo Su Fui told the Dewan Rakyat on Thursday (Jan 29) that DBKL has also established a complaint channel for hawkers and the public to report illegal subletting at bazaar sites.
