Datuks council: Revoke Datuk Seri of man in Rela assault

Council of Federal Datuks president Tan Sri Danny Ooi said the Ruler who awarded the Datuk Seri title to a man who allegedly beat up Rela officers last Friday, should revoke the title if the man was awarded one.

Ooi also said the council would be meeting the police over the problem of conferment of dubious titles from unrecognised institutions and would urge the police to set up a hotline to receive tip-off on those found using fake titles.
