Former finance minister Tun Daim Zainuddin, who was charged in the KL Sessions Court on Monday (Jan 29) with failing to comply with a notice to declare his assets, attempted to read a statement to the press after posting bail.

However, as his words were barely audible in his frail voice, his lawyer later distributed copies of the statement to the press.
