D.C. cherry blossoms near bloom as Japan donates 250 more trees

Cherry blossoms are blooming in both the American capital of Washington, D.C. and Tokyo in Japan.

On top of the cherry trees already planted and rooted in the United States, Japan donated 250 additional such trees to mark the US’ upcoming 250th anniversary celebration on July 4, calling them a reminder of the "timeless bond" between the two nations.
