Covid-19 situation in Kubang Pasu to be monitored following emergence of new cluster

The Covid-19 situation in Kubang Pasu, Kedah will be closely monitored before any decision is made to enforce the enhanced movement control order (MCO) in the area, says Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

He said for now, authorities had taken action by closing the Community Development Department (Kemas)-run kindergartens and daycare centres for 14 days, as preliminary measures to contain the transmission of Covid-19.

Ismail Sabri said this was done following the emergence of a new cluster known as "Sivagangga cluster".
