Covid-19 mortality trend - Young fatalities came in too late to be saved

Covid-19 death cases that involved younger age bracket patients in Malaysia mostly came to the hospital too late.

Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that on Thursday when elaborating on the mortality trend of cases linked to the virus which has claimed 50 lives in the country to date.

Dr Noor Hisham also said a team led by Dr Christopher Lee, Health Ministry’s former deputy director-general, is reviewing Covid-19 death cases in the country and found that among patients in the high-risk groups were those with other critical illnesses as well as those from the very senior age group .
