In a televised speech on Wednesday (March 25), Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced that the government has decided to extend the movement control order (MCO) for another two weeks until April 14.

He said he was given a briefing by the National Security Council and Health Ministry and the trend showed new Covid-19 positive cases had spiked.

Muhyiddin urged the people to stay calm and not panic, adding that there was no need to unnecessarily stock up on food as supply is sufficient.
