Covid-19: Kota Setar to be placed under enhanced MCO from midnight Friday (Sept 11)

The district of Kota Setar will be placed under an enhanced movement control order (MCO) from midnight Friday (Sept 11) until Sept 23 following an increase in Covid-19 cases, says Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

The Defence Minister said that on Thursday, adding that the enhanced MCO will involve 366,787 residents who will not be allowed to leave the area and people from outside will not be allowed to enter.

Ismail Sabri also said the Malaysia-Thailand border at Bukit Kayu Hitam will not see any cross-border activities throughout the 14-day lockdown.
