Covid-19: 4,626 new cases on Saturday, Omicron variant detected among 298 new VOC cases

The Health Ministry reported 4,626 new Covid-19 cases and 4,690 recoveries on Saturday (Dec 11).

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also said a total of 298 new cases of Covid-19 variants of concern (VOC) were reported between Nov 19 and Dec 8 this year and they comprise 4,722 cases of Delta (B.1.617.2), 233 cases of Beta (B.1.1351), and one case of Omicron (B.1.1.529).
