Court sets Oct 8 to hear application to intervene by woman who claims to be Samy Vellu's wife

The woman who claims to be the wife of former cabinet minister Tun S. Samy Vellu has for the second time filed an application at the Kuala Lumpur High Court on Monday to intervene in a lawsuit which sought to declare the latter as mentally unfit.
Meeriam Rosaline Edward Paul, 59, first attempted to intervene in the suit - filed by Samy Vellu's son Datuk Seri S. Vell Paari - in December last year.
Meeriam’s lawyer RSN Rayer said the court has set Oct 8 to hear the new application.
