Court hears man beat pregnant wife with plastic chair, rubber hose and clothes hanger

A 43-year-old man pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court in Sungai Petani, Kedah, on Thursday (May 7) for causing grievous hurt to his wife in separate incidents in March and April.

Rosmaini is already serving a 14-year sentence after the Court of Appeal enhanced his conviction for a separate case in which he caused grievous hurt to his then-pregnant wife, leaving her in a coma following a 2021 attack in Larkin, Johor Baru.
