Courage to Change: In search of a better life

Young Myanmarese Nancy Tawk Hliang left her home and her mother in Hnamdaw, Myanmar when she was 13 to track in the jungle across the Malaysian-Thai border with a group of strangers.

With her focus on securing a better life, Nancy also struggled to survive the challenges of earning her keep as a foreigner.

Two years later today, this brave teenager is looking forward to starting that life in a third country.
