Cops nab 40, smash crypto scam syndicate involving RM50mil losses

Police have busted a cryptocurrency investment syndicate, involving losses amounting to over RM50mil, with the arrest of 40 individuals.

Bukit Aman commercial crime investigation department (CCID) director Datuk Seri Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf told a special media conference on Friday (Nov 3) that the syndicate's modus operandi was to offer cryptocurrency investments giving high returns in a short period.
