The police are monitoring the situation following comments made by Pasir Puteh MP Datuk Dr Nik Muhammad Zawawi Salleh regarding the Prophet Muhammad's companions.

Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail said that the police were aware of the comments made during a ceramah that was believed to have been held in Kuala Terengganu recently.
