Contradictory varsity disciplinary rules will be harmonised, says Zambry

All disciplinary action against students for speaking out or expressing criticism has been dropped, says Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir.
Speaking in the Dewan Rakyat on Thursday (Oct 8), Zambry said the Universities and University Colleges Act 1971 (Auku) would be repealed in phases, with a proposed One Higher Education Act included in the Malaysian Higher Education Plan 2026-2035.
