Company and director fined RM1.6mil in ‘meat cartel’ case

LY Frozen Food Sdn Bhd and its director Yong Chee Keong on Wednesday (Feb 22) pleaded guilty to 14 charges of using fake trade descriptions, among others, with regard to the halal logo.

Johor Baru Sessions Court ordered Yong to pay a RM1.5mil fine for seven charges and RM100,000 for the remaining charges.
