New Zealand Governor-General, Dame Patsy Reddy said the Christchurch mosque shootings have changed the country and it is a mark New Zealanders will never forget.

Speaking from a memorial in Christchurch on Tuesday, Reddy said the attack made the country stronger and more determined to be united in the future.

Australian Brenton Tarrant was charged with murder on Saturday and is due back in court on April 5 where he is likely to face more charges.
