Chong Wei confirms Seu Bock as singles head coach, salary hike proposal for coaches

Datuk Tey Seu Bock has been confirmed as the new head of the national men’s singles squad, according to Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) performance committee chairman Datuk Seri Lee Chong Wei.

Seu Bock will report to national singles coaching director Kenneth Jonassen and Chong Wei explained that no official announcement was made after the BAM council meeting on Jan 10 because discussions were still ongoing, particularly on budgetary matters related to appointing a new coach.

Chong Wei also said they had proposed a salary increase for local coaches to be as competitive as the overseas coaches.
