Chinese voters no longer loyal to any party, says Chong

Voters, particularly within the Chinese community, are no longer loyal to any single political party and will not hesitate to “teach a lesson” to those who fail to fulfill their promises, said MCA secretary-general Datuk Chong Sin Woon.

Speaking at MCA’s 77th anniversary celebration on Saturday (March 7), Chong noted that while dissatisfaction with DAP is growing, MCA cannot rely on this sentiment to gain support and must instead work harder to earn voters’ trust.

He urged party members to step up their efforts ahead of upcoming elections and reaffirmed MCA’s commitment to defending the rights of the Chinese community.
