China, US mull trade, investment mechanisms, possible delay in Trump's visit to China

Chinese and US officials discussed the establishment of mechanisms for bilateral trade and investment, said China's chief trade negotiator Li Chenggang after two days of their trade talks in Paris on Monday (March 16).
US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said if President Donald Trump's official visit to Beijing was delayed, it would be due to Trump's need to stay in the United States and not because of China abstaining from action on the Strait of Hormuz amid the US and Israel war with Iran.
