PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said leaders should try to shift the national conversation away from race and religion to one focused on addressing the welfare of the poor.

Anwar, who is also Port Dickson MP, said that at the Law Asia Conference in Petaling Jaya on Friday, adding that the country must survive as a multi-racial and multi-religious country, that as such, racial and religious bigotry must be avoided.
