Cabinet wants explanation for steep rise in classroom building costs

The Cabinet will seek clarification from the Education Ministry on the reported rise in classroom construction costs, now estimated between RM280,000 and RM520,000.

Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, speaking as a government spokesman, said the issue was not discussed in detail during Friday’s (Jan 30) Cabinet meeting, though infrastructure remains a key government priority.
