Cabinet reshuffle: Need for dedicated ministry to look into digital transformation, says PM

Challenges in disseminating information as well as to meet the growing demands of digital transformation are reasons why the Communications and Digital Ministry was separated into two entities, explains Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

The Prime Minister said there was a need to boost communications so that information on the government’s plans and programmes for the people could be explained effectively.

Fahmi Fadzil remains as Communications Minister while Gobind Singh Deo will helm the new Digital Ministry.
