CAAM extends 60-day credit to ease airline costs, says Loke

The Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) will extend the credit period for aviation fees and charges to 60 days from May 1 to ease financial pressure on airlines, says Transport Minister Anthony Loke.

Loke said the move is aimed at sustaining the aviation industry amid challenges stemming from the West Asia conflict, which has triggered sudden international flight cancellations.

He warned that a prolonged crisis could erode international tourist confidence and lead to estimated economic losses of between RM15bil and RM150bil in 2026.
