The government has agreed to increase financial assistance for disaster victims to repair their homes from RM5,000 to RM10,000.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said when tabling Budget 2027, themed "Reaching for the Sky, Rooted in the Ground", in the Dewan Rakyat on Friday (Oct 9) that the ministry has allocated RM260mil to the National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma) for next year.
