Budget 2027: Govt eyes stronger support for MSMEs, says Amir Hamzah

The government will place greater emphasis on micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Budget 2027, to be tabled on Oct 9, said Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan.

He told reporters after attending Bank Simpanan Nasional’s (BSN) 69th National Day celebration on Friday (Aug 28) that the government was reviewing proposals from agencies, ministries and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to support and empower MSMEs.
