Budget 2023: EPF, other GLCs to carry out domestic direct investment

Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz announced under Budget 2023 that Malaysia’s government-linked companies (GLC) are expected to invest some RM45bil to boost domestic economy and create thousands of job opportunities.

He said the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) will invest more than RM3bil until 2025 while the Menara Merdeka 118 project by Permodalan Nasional Berhad will bring about a gross development value of over RM10bil.
