BRICS need to address debt distress, says PM Anwar as summit in India concludes

The two-day BRICS Leaders' Summit in New Delhi came to a close on Sunday (Sept 13) with host nation warning against the weaponisation of technology and critical minerals.

Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim also told the BRICS member states that financing must be fit for purpose to ensure that meeting basic needs and providing public goods do not leave countries carrying debts they cannot sustain.
