BN set to go solo in GE16 but may pursue other cooperation after polls, says Zahid

Barisan Nasional is almost certain to go solo in the 16th General Election (GE16) but may pursue other political cooperation after the general election, says its chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

Zahid said the party has consistently maintained a solo contest approach, though ahead of the election, there remains an openness to reaching an agreement with current coalition partners to prevent clashes over the same seats.

He said this during an interview with selected media on Sunday (May 3).
