Bandar Kuching MP proposes abolishing contract doctor system

Bandar Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii has proposed that the government abolish the contract system for doctors to address the shortage of health personnel in Ministry of Health (MOH) facilities.

He stressed that doctors who have served for more than three years, especially in rural or remote areas, should be given priority for immediate permanent placement.
