Balloon seller case: Man to be charged for threatening DBKL officer

A man is set to be charged in court on Monday (May 19) for threatening a Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) enforcement officer on social media, following a viral incident involving a balloon seller during an operation along Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman on March 28.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa said on Sunday that the case involves threats made via a Facebook account targeting enforcement officers.
The man will be charged under Section 506 and Section 505(b) of the Penal Code, which relate to criminal intimidation and public mischief, respectively.
