Baby boy found alive on house awning in Ipoh

A newborn baby boy was found lying on an awning of a house in Taman Ria, Bercham, Ipoh on Saturday.

The houseowner said he found the baby with his umbilical cord still attached at about 12pm upon hearing a loud bang.

Ipoh district police chief Asst Comm A. Asmadi Abdul Aziz said that the baby had been sent to the hospital for treatment and that the case is currently under investigation.
