Azmin: Govt will only accept PLUS takeover if new owner can guarantee toll abolition

Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali said private firms are more than welcomed to buy Khazanah National Berhad’s stake in PLUS Malaysia Bhd, if they are able abolish the tolls. When met by reporters at Parliament lobby on Wednesday, Azmin said privatising PLUS will only increase toll rates and would therefore not fulfil Pakatan Harapan’s pledge of abolishing tolls.
