Authorities to probe incident where woman gave birth alone in hospital labour room

The Johor Health Department will probe the incident of a woman who gave birth alone in a labour room at the Sultan Ismail Hospital in Johor Baru two months ago.

In a statement Wednesday night, state Health director Datuk Dr Aman Rabu acknowledged the complaint and promised a detailed investigation and remedial measures to prevent a recurrence.

Dr Aman also recounted the events that led to the woman’s solo delivery in the hospital isolation room on July 23.
