Audit reveals RM272.9mil failed Customs project, PAC wants MACC to investigate

Parliament's Public Accounts Committee (PAC) wants the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to investigate payments of RM272.9mil by the Customs Department for its uCustoms online system, which is currently non-functioning, following the revelation in the Auditor-General's report, tabled in the Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday.

PAC chairman Wong Kah Woh told reporters that, adding that the committee will meet to discuss the findings of the AGs report next month to begin proceedings to haul up the appropriate departments for inquiry.
