At least 14 children dead after taking cough syrup in India

At least 14 children have died after consuming a cough syrup, called 'Coldrif', in India's central state Madhya Pradesh.
Earlier on Saturday (Oct 4), the Health Ministry said samples of Coldrif Cough Syrup, manufactured by Sresan Pharma in the southern state of Tamil Nadu, were tested by state authorities and found to contain diethylene glycol (DEG) exceeding permissible limits.
