Asset declaration: MPs can have other sources of income, says Najib

Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak on Wednesday said there was no need for Opposition MPs to declare their assets as they are not members of an executive body.

He added that lawmakers can also have other sources of income and can be investigated if there is any wrongdoing.

Arau MP Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim, who was met at the Parliament lobby, also said there was no need for Opposition MPs to declare their assets as they are not part of the country’s administration.
