Asean foreign ministers’ summit attended by US and China focuses on trade pressure

US President Donald Trump's move to ratchet up pressure on China by proposing higher tariffs on US$200bil worth of imports has prompted sterner warnings from Beijing and caution to Asean ministers at their meeting in Singapore from July 30-Aug 4.
